Our Mission: Sharing the Gospel in the Philippines
Our mission is built on the firm conviction that nothing compares to sharing the truth of the gospel of Christ. We labor to reach every heart with God’s truth, rejoicing when souls come to know His love and choose to obey the gospel. Our goal is to bring His saving message to those who need Him most across the islands.
Our Core Pillars
We are dedicated to the New Testament pattern of service and growth:
• Evangelism: Sharing the saving message of Christ with the world.
• Baptism: Guiding hearts to respond to God’s grace, where sins are washed away and a new life in Christ begins.
• Church Planting: Establishing New Testament churches patterned after the examples found in the book of Acts.
• Edification: Strengthening and encouraging brothers and sisters in Christ to be a light in their communities.
Our Story and Leadership
The dream for this mission began in October 2006 when Michael Stock first visited the Philippines. He quickly fell in love with the Filipino people and recognized a desperate need for gospel preachers. Michael, a graduate of the Sunset International Bible Institute, and his wife Deborah, have dedicated their lives to this work.
Deborah was raised in a missionary family and became a nurse to demonstrate God’s love through medical missions. Her dream is to serve as a missionary doctor to help the Philippine people. After several years of part-time work, the couple returned for full-time mission work in May 2012.
Demonstrating God’s Love through Service
We believe in using various “tools” to open doors for evangelism and Bible study. These include:
• Medical Missions: Providing physical care as a bridge to spiritual teaching.
• Disaster Relief: Following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake and Typhoon Yolanda (the most powerful storm ever recorded) in 2013, we coordinated massive relief efforts. This included distributing over 20 tons of food and helping rebuild more than 300 homes for our brethren.
• Community Programs: We host feeding programs, distribute school supplies, and conduct yearly Vacation Bible Schools (VBS) and family camps.
Current Impact
Our work is currently active in Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Bohol. We support six full-time Filipino preachers who labor for the Lord and teach the lost. Our recent efforts include the establishment of the Tagbilaran City (downtown) Church of Christ and outreach in the mountainous area of Loon.
