Evangelism: Sharing the Saving Message

Evangelism is sharing the saving message of Christ with the world. Our mission is built on the firm conviction that nothing compares to sharing the truth of the gospel. We labor to reach every heart with God’s truth, rejoicing when souls come to know His love and choose to obey the gospel.

Our Approach to Evangelism

We believe that there is no greater feeling on this earth than telling someone who knows no better that there is a God, and seeing the look in their eyes when they realize that God loves even them. To facilitate this, we use many techniques and “tools” to open doors for the Word:

Medical Missions: We use medical care to demonstrate God’s love practically, which often serves as a bridge to spiritual teaching. One three-day medical mission alone resulted in requests for more than 400 Bible studies.

Disaster Relief as Outreach: During times of crisis, such as the 7.2 magnitude earthquake or Typhoon Yolanda, the church reaches out to help the community. These moments of service allow us to conduct Bible studies and encourage people through prayer during their darkest hours.

Community Programs: We conduct feeding programs, distribute school supplies, and host yearly Vacation Bible Schools (VBS) and family camps to engage with families and children.

Gospel Meetings: We regularly hold public gospel meetings to teach the lost about Christ and establish a New Testament pattern of worship.

The Fruit of Our Labors

The primary goal of every program we run—whether it is rebuilding a home or distributing food—is to seek and save the lost. God has blessed these efforts with significant growth:

Baptisms and Restorations: During the year-long relief effort following Typhoon Yolanda, 166 souls were baptized into Christ and 38 souls were restored to the Lord’s church.

Church Planting: Our evangelistic efforts have established several New Testament churches patterned after the book of Acts, including congregations in Southern Leyte, Isabel, and Tagbilaran City.

Growing Ministries: In Tagbilaran City, we are the only Church of Christ in a population of over 100,000, where we continue to reach out to surrounding mountainous areas like Loon.

Join Us in the Harvest

As Jesus said, “The Harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.” We currently support six full-time Filipino preachers who dedicate their lives to this evangelistic work across Leyte and Bohol.
